Book Club Opportunity

Grace Church School will be hosting a book discussion group.

No matter the age of your child, parenting can feel like a roller coaster with distinct highs and lows. Our reactions to the moments we share with our children, whether it's whining in the back seat of a car or pushing curfew boundaries, are within our ability to control. By paying attention to our emotional reactions in the moment, we can create the space to respond thoughtfully. In this discussion we will look at ways to find a calm and attentive presence for ourselves, which in turn serves as a great model and offers tremendous benefits to our children.

We encourage you to attend regardless of your familiarity with mindful practices. 

Details

Commitment: Participants commit to weekly gatherings, a chapter's worth of reading, along with a couple of exercises to practice each week.

Dates: February 12 - April 30, Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Cost: A fee of $50 will cover teh cost of your book, snacks, and instruction. Scholarships are available; request with registration.
